A Novel Method for Preparation of 6-Chloropurine from Acetyl Hypoxanthine |

Abstract6-Chloropurine was prepared directly from the reaction of acetyl hypoxanthine with phosphorus oxychlorideinstead of the previous route via intermediate hypoxanthinein 95% yield. The optimum reaction conditions were determined as followingnacetyl hypoxanthinenphosphorus oxychloridentriethylamine=181reaction temperature 105reaction time 5 h. This method has advantages of fewer stepssimple workup and less wastes. |
