A New Technique for Synthesis of 3,5-Dihydroxybenzyl Alcohol |

Abstract:Dihydroxybenzyl alcohol was synthesized from 3,5 dihydroxybenzoic acid by improved esterification, acylation and reduction by lithium aluminium hydride, the total yield is 76%, which gives a convenient syntheic method. Compared with other methods, this process has superior industrial economic benefit without environmental pollution. |
