| Abstract：A water-soluble tetrablock-polyether of straight chain structure, DCN-Ⅰ, was prepared for dehydrating high water cut(>80%) viscous heavy crude oil of He-nan produced by steam huff-puff method instead of an oil-soluble demulsifier, KN-1, which became uneffective. The synthesis, performance properties, and field test results at oil-gathering/water-treating plant No 25 of DCN-Ⅰ were presented.
